Quick North By Northwest story: A couple of years ago, the Stanford Theatre in Palo Alto had a special screening of this film, and star Eva Marie Saint attended and did a quick Q&A after the movie. By coincidence she sat one row behind me and a couple of seats to the side, so I snuck a couple of glances at her during the film. Early in North By Northwest, there is a very sexy-for-1959 love scene between Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint. I snuck a peek at Eva and could see the reflection of the silver screen on her face...it was quite a moment, watching Eva Marie Saint watching Eva Marie Saint kissing Cary Grant.
